Artificial intelligence is changing the way the world works… and the way recruiters recruit. Here’s what your company needs to know.

As part of MSH’s latest video blog series, I’m exploring the different technologies that are disrupting and reshaping the talent acquisition industry as we know it. In the above, I take a deep dive into how artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the way we recruit and attract top talent.

Artificial intelligence (or AI, as it’s more commonly referred to) is a hot topic across the world and in every industry—and for good reason. AI is poised to impact every facet of both the global workforce and the way we work one way or another over the next decade.

The possibilities of AI are seemingly endless. For instance, there is conversational interface, much like our helpful friends Siri and Alexa. There’s machine learning, where systems analyze data and make intuitive recommendations without direction. Predictive modeling is a form of AI in which systems identify patterns to help users better forecast outcomes, risks, and overall make better decisions.

Here at MSH, we are so excited about the power of AI and predictive analytics that our technology teams are building our own software around conversational interface. Our “Siri” is known here as Alice. We’re even going as far as partnering with cutting-edge companies in the big data/predictive analytics space like Trove.

Podcast: Malvika Jhangiani — Take the Detour: Career Risks, Big Bets, and Building High-Performance Teams

Hiring for skill feels safe; hiring for will builds transformation. In this episode, we sit down with Malvika Jhangiani, Chief Human Resources Officer of FARO Technologies. With global HR leadership experience spanning multinational organizations across the US, India, and the Middle East, Malvika has led large-scale transformations inside complex, matrixed businesses. Malvika shares why her core hiring philosophy is “hire for will, not skill,” and how learning agility consistently outperforms credentials. We explore what global companies get wrong about inclusion, why transformation fails without stakeholder alignment, and how HR leaders must balance global consistency with local cultural nuance. She also breaks down how AI is becoming HR’s newest coworker — freeing up time for more strategic, creative work.
