About the Role
The Lead BI Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end design, development, administration, and automation of enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) platforms and data delivery systems.
The role involves Cognos administration, data visualization, workflow automation using Stonebranch, and cloud migrations across multi-environment ecosystems, including on-premises and cloud environments.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of BI and automation solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
BI Platforms & Data
- Administer and maintain Cognos, Tableau, and Power BI platforms, ensuring stability, availability, and optimized performance across multi-tiered environments.
- Design and develop dashboards, data models, and analytical reports that provide actionable insights to business and technical stakeholders.
- Perform BI platform upgrades, patch management, and environment migrations with minimal business disruption.
- Support data delivery systems and data visualization tools across enterprise environments.
Governance & Performance
- Conduct platform governance, license audits, and performance tuning.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Perform upgrades, patch management, and environment migrations while minimizing business disruption.
- Maintain reliable, scalable, and high-performing BI and automation environments.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to deliver high-impact BI and automation solutions aligned with enterprise goals.
- Provide technical mentorship and training to junior administrators and analysts on BI platform operations and automation tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, architects, and business stakeholders to support enterprise BI initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic contributor to the growth of enterprise projects, enabling future opportunities and supporting the company’s long-term business objectives.
Documentation & Operational Continuity
- Prepare and maintain system documentation.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain knowledge base articles to support operational continuity.

Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in:

Professional Experience
- 8 years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related occupation, including experience as a BI Administrator, Software Engineer, or in a related role.
Required Technical Experience
- 6 years of experience with:

- Python
- SQL Server
- 2 years of experience with:
- Kubernetes
